Mehreen Farooq specializes in inclusive peace and security, with more than 15 years of expertise providing governmental and non-governmental clients with needs assessments, community engagement support, strategic guidance for project implementation, and training to improve public policy and programming.

As a Part-Time Faculty at George Washington University, and previously an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, she offers graduate and undergraduate courses on “Community-Based Terrorism Prevention,” and “Gender and Terrorism.” Ms. Farooq is also the Governance Technical Expert for Counterpart International, a leading implementing partner for USAID.
